We are working to make Florida better for people who want to bicycle and for people who need to bicycle.
The Florida Bicycle Association is a 501c3, membership-based organization that mobilizes volunteers and partners to make Florida bike-friendly.
We prioritize advocacy for better policies and infrastructure, we provide training and education for cyclists, motorists and other roadway users, we deliver direct assistance to communities, and we share resources to help connect the dots. Our programs lead to changes that make bicycling safe, accessible, and accepted throughout the Sunshine State.
We do this work to improve public health, strengthen local economies, advance equity, and protect the environment. Learn more about our programs below.
-
Advocacy
Florida Bicycle’s staff and board members speak on behalf of the membership at the local, state and federal level to promote policies, projects and programs that support bicycling.
-
Education
We offer free and paid classes and certifications to help make bicycling safer for everyone. We also conduct helmet-fitting events, share best practices, and promote bike-friendliness.
-
Assistance
We provide direct assistance to community members, technical practitioners, government staff, consultants and others to help them decide on policies and designs that are best for bicyclists.

Resources
Over its 25 years of working to make Florida more bike-friendly, the Association has amassed quite a collection of resources. Peruse them by topic or submit an inquiry for specific resources.
