The Messenger: Spring 2023
A quarterly publication of the Florida Bicycle Association, the Messenger includes educational information, safety and legislative updates, perspective and opinions, inspiration, and fun. Proposed legislation that would make it easier for communities to enforce vehicle speed limits in school zones has been passed in the Florida House and Senate.
More Good News for Trails, Take Action Now
A bill in the Florida Senate that would expand the state’s Shared-Use Nonmotorized (SUN) Trail network and Greenways and Trails System will be heard next week by the Appropriations Committee, and an identical bill has been introduced in the Florida House of Representatives. The Florida Bicycle Association supports both bills, and you can, too.

I spent five weeks in the hospital with a shattered pelvis, a splintered scapula and a traumatic brain injury. Twenty months later, my hip pain is constant. I walk with a limp.
