We are bringing together bicycling advocates and enthusiasts from across the state to be part of the Florida Bicycle Association’s annual meeting, where we will discuss the most pressing issues facing bicyclists in Florida.

The meeting will be held on Saturday, October 14, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Healthy West Orange on Plant Street in Winter Garden.

As many as 100 enthusiasts from every part of the Sunshine State will meet to connect, share, and learn, and to help identify the bike-friendly movement's critical challenges and opportunities. Attendees will include the Association's board of directors, general members, community partners, bike clubs, bike shops, volunteers, donors and sponsors, who are invited to connect, share, learn from each other.

The meeting will include lunch; networking; updates on the Association’s mission and vision, advocacy, policy work and educational initiatives; guest speakers; and open discussions about the bike-friendly movement's most critical challenges and opportunities.

Doors open at 12 p.m., with lunch served until 12:30 p.m. The meeting will conclude by 4 p.m.

The annual meeting is sponsored by Angco Striping, Ask Adam/Adam Rieth Injury Attorney, Hands-Free Florida, Naples Pathways Coalition, Paradise Coast Trail, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Friends of Lake Apopka, Jim Dodson Law/The Florida Bike Guy, Friends of the River of Grass Greenway, and the Town of Oakland.

That morning, across town, the fun and engaging Bike 5 is being hosted by Bike/Walk Central Florida. We encourage participation in Bike 5; register at bikewalkcentralflorida.org. If you sign up for a group ride, please select the earliest start time starting at Eatonville to ensure you can be at Healthy West Orange by 12 p.m. for lunch and the start of the annual meeting. (Note: You may wish to drive by car from Bike 5 in Orlando to the annual meeting in Winter Garden, as the distance is significant and the biking route includes on-road segments that don't offer comfortable bike facilities.)
