You can also support FBA by purchasing a Share the Road specialty license plate. The proceeds, after marketing expenses, are divided equally between FBA and Bike Florida. Florida was the first state to have a specialty license plate dedicated to bicycling. Please support this program by purchasing a plate for your vehicle(s) by visiting your local license plate agency.
Bike Florida, our partnering organization, is also dedicated to the promotion of safe cycling in Florida via its annual event: Bike Florida, the springtime week-long touring ride. Proceeds from the Bike Florida event supplement the efforts of the Florida Traffic and Bicycle Safety Education Program. The program administers traffic and bicycle safety education workshops and certificate programs for Florida elementary and middle school teachers, community volunteers, law enforcement officers and recreation leaders.
The Florida Bicycle Association, Bike Florida, and the Florida Traffic and Bicycle Safety Education Program are working together to make Florida a bicycle friendly community.
Ayn Rand said money is only a byproduct of the creativity of man’s mind. It is not either good or evil. Money is funding for FBA’s programs and services and that is good. It is the outreach that touches and changes lives. It is the development of new policies and practices.
